Courtyard Marriott
Certified LEED Gold
Downtown Portland's Marriott Courtyard hosts 256 guest rooms and a ground level restaurant seating 200 people after its extensive renovation from a 13-story office building.
A tight envelope design, high efficiency HVAC equipment with heat recovery and efficient lighting will result in $140,000 in operational cost savings annually. 70 percent of the building’s remaining energy load will be offset by wind power for at least two years of the building's active life.
Through close work with the team on this and one additional Marriott hotel project, Brightworks helped update corporation’s water fixture design standards with a low-water fixture package that is now required on all new and renovated Marriott hotels.
