Brewery Block 3: The Henry Condominiums
The First LEED Gold Condominium in the United States
The Henry, a mixed-use condominium project in Portland's Pearl District, has aggressive energy conservation targets, high recycled materials content, extensive daylighting, extensive use of certified wood, and low-VOC interior finishes and paints.
The Henry also features an air-to-water heat exchange system that captures waste heat to pre-heat the building's domestic hot water, saving energy and lowering utility bills for its owners. This system, combined with super-efficient lighting design, shading on the southern facad, and a range of other performance-enhancing features add up to energy savings of over forty percent.
