Lila's Role at Brightworks

Lila Saari brings diverse project experience in a variety of green building certifications and expertise developing, managing, and implementing client-driven sustainability standards at the portfolio-wide level. The firm frequently draws on her strengths in biophilic design and data center design and construction. Notably, Lila works closely with Meta on their data center sustainability program, with an emphasis on standardization and efficiency across projects, embodied carbon reduction, water efficiency, biodiversity, and resiliency. A strong communicator with a hands-on management style, Lila consistently provides project teams the tools and consulting support they need to make projects successful throughout all phases of design and construction, while ensuring client goals are achieved. Lila has successfully managed the certification process for projects requiring LEED for New Construction, LEED for Commercial Interiors, LEED for Cities and Communities, WELLv2, the WELL Health-Safety Rating, ParkSmart, and Fitwel. She has demonstrated expertise providing sustainability services for projects across a wide range of development scales, from tenant renovations, to large-scale community development and data center campuses across the US and Europe. Her project experience includes work for public and private clients alike, as well as for a range of project types, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, higher education, emergency services, industrial/warehouse, data centers and transportation facilities. Key clients include Meta, Harvard University, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Lila volunteers on the LEED Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for Sustainable Sites, where she contributes from the LEED consultant perspective to continuously enhance the LEED rating system. She also enjoys providing presentations to peers in the AEC industry on a variety of sustainability topics.
