    Alexis Whitaker

    Senior Consultant

    Alexis is a Senior Consultant in Brightworks’ Sustainable Organizations practice, where she supports clients to create and enhance the environmental performance of their businesses. She specializes in decarbonization, which involves measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions and energy performance, as well as supporting clients to select and prepare relevant corporate sustainability reporting frameworks.  

    Before Brightworks, Alexis held several positions in which she managed greenhouse gas inventories and large-scale decarbonization and energy efficiency programs. As the Utility and Sustainability Coordinator for the San Mateo County Community College District, she developed and implemented district-wide projects related to sustainability, the greenhouse gas accounting of scope 1 and 2 emissions, low-carbon transportation and waste reduction goals across three campuses, and analyzed performance data across their portfolio of buildings.  

    She has also served as a Program Manager for the Association for Energy Affordability, where she provided technical consulting for energy efficiency and decarbonization projects throughout California. Additionally, she has conducted greenhouse gas emissions and air quality analysis for planning and construction process for both technical studies and environmental impact reports.
