Colleen Large
Senior Consultant
Colleen Large is an experienced Senior Consultant who manages projects from Brightworks’ office in New York City. She has significant previous experience with the LEED rating system, and with the selection of healthy and sustainable materials.
Colleen has managed more than 20 green building projects of the mixed-use multifamily residential, commercial, and education types. With a focus in building product materials, she has coordinated and written green building specifications to achieve complex performance requirements. Colleen has guest-lectured on the subject at NYU Polytech and participates in an ongoing technical subcommittee for the Health Product Declaration (HPD) Collaborative.
Engaged and active in the New York sustainability community, Colleen has worked with organizations throughout New York City to promote and contribute to green building initiatives. As an intern with the Urban Green Council, she collaborated with a research team to analyze energy data from New York City Local Law 84, which requires owners of large buildings to use ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to submit benchmarked energy and water consumption to the City annually.
