Courtney Hessler
Consultant
Courtney Hessler is a Consultant who helps clients achieve their corporate sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) program goals. She has three years of experience analyzing supply chains and delivering strategies for sustainable improvement and footprint reduction. She is deeply enthusiastic about creating a more sustainable future for everyone, helping companies take responsibility for their impact and improving their processes.
In her previous role as the sole sustainability employee at a plastic-free consumer goods company, Courtney led all sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and developed detailed strategies to improve aspects such as packaging, ingredients, shipping, greenhouse gas emissions and more. In the effort to cultivate a new industry standard, she successfully measured and offset 100% of the company’s business operation emissions, from cradle to consumer, and created a robust strategy for future reductions. Her other initiatives within this role included developing a Supplier Code of Conduct that effectively communicated the brand’s expectations and requirements to all suppliers, sub-suppliers, and sub-contractors; and leading the company’s CSR efforts through a 1% For the Planet membership management to create long-term partnerships for impactful and lasting environmental and social change.
