    Jack Dinning

    Senior Materials Specialist

Jack Dinning is a Senior Materials Specialist at Brightworks Sustainability. With a background in architecture and materials sustainability, Jack is passionate about developing replicable strategies that can align industry leaders in material health-related efforts. He works to empower designers to improve the sustainability of materials in their own work.

Jack has been deeply involved in education related to material health education, both in the higher education space and among industry practitioners. He works with Harvard University’s Office for Sustainability, the Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons School of Design, and on co-leading the mindful MATERIALS Education Working Group. Jack’s experience has had a particular focus on supporting architects that are serving vulnerable populations, including affordable housing residents, fenceline communities, young children and infants, and those who are most affected by the toxic chemicals in building materials.

Jack’s work has earned industry recognition, including an invitation to the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit, the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for leadership and professional merit, and election to the inaugural class of AIANY’s Civic Leadership Program.
