Kanika Golani

Project Coordinator

Trained as an architect, Kanika Golani supports Brightworks’ projects with multiple valuable experiences in the fields of design and sustainability. She has supported several projects pursuing LEED v4 and v2009 at different stages of design and construction, as well as projects pursuing certification through the WELL Building Standard and the Living Building Challenge

Previously an architect in India, she designed several high-end residential spaces and always had a sustainable approach towards her designs. She also worked as Energy Efficiency Intern with the City of Savannah, Georgia, where she audited the energy use of City facilities for compliance with ENERGY STAR requirements and prepared an Energy Management Plan that informed their new construction codes.

A passionate advocate for sustainability, Kanika is also a Living Building Challenge Ambassador, where she shares the International Living Future Institute’s vision for a world where communities value sustainability, equity and prosperity. She likes to be called as a design strategist and believes in working with a system thinking approach.
