Kate Kelly
Project Manager
Kate Kelly brings nearly 10 years of green building experience to Brightworks, including advanced work in healthy and sustainable materials. With previous firm Gensler, she led the pursuit of the Living Building Challenge Materials Petal for Etsy Headquarters in New York, NY, which was the first and largest program of its type.
Kate has served major clients and delivered sustainability certifications for high-profile properties throughout New York City, including for CitiBank, Conde Nast, Estee Lauder, JP Morgan Chase, The Ford Foundation, and others. She has managed LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge projects to successful certification and to impressive results, contributing to award-winning projects recognized by Engineering News Record (ENR), the Center for Active Design, by the International Living Future Institute Biophilic Design Awards.
Kate is also an active speaker and educator about healthy and sustainable materials, including leading trainings on the Living Building Challenge and speaking at the Living Product Expo.
