    Materials Analyst

Operating from Brightworks’ New York office, Luna Oiwa is a Materials Analyst who draws upon her wealth of subject matter expertise to support complex materials scopes on a wide variety of project types. Her focus within Brightworks’ Materials Practice lies in helping clients meet their sustainability goals through embodied carbon and whole building life-cycle analysis (WBLCA) services.

In her previous role as a Sustainability Analyst at CodeGreen Solutions, Luna spearheaded a firmwide conversation about embodied carbon and enabled her team to develop services addressing the embodied carbon credits in LEED. In addition to LEED, Luna’s background includes extensive work within the WELL and WELL Health-Safety Rating frameworks.

Luna has a passion for building material reuse and is an active member of several reuse-related groups – most notably the non-profit Build Reuse.
