Patrick Halley

Project Coordinator

Patrick Halley supports sustainability projects around the world for such Brightworks clients as Facebook, Microsoft, Salesforce, and Bank of America.

Patrick brings eight years of sustainability consulting and design experience.  He has worked as a LEED project coordinator, a GBCI certification reviewer, and an architectural designer. His building type experience includes multifamily, hospitality, office, education, and healthcare.

Prior to Brightworks, Patrick worked for design/build developer SolTerra, where he managed several LEED Platinum certifications under the LEED NC and LEED for Homes rating systems.  His project experience includes The Woodlawn, USGBC’s LEED Homes Project of the Year in 2015 and a Verified Ultra-low Energy Building.  At SolTerra, he also developed rainwater harvesting and cistern-sizing calculators to help design cost-effective systems that optimize water savings. As a certification reviewer, Patrick completed technical reviews of more than 350 projects registered under the LEED NC, Core and Shell, and Schools rating systems. This perspective provides Brightworks clients with additional insight into how their projects can document adherence to the LEED rating system requirements.

As part of his architecture program at the University of Tennessee, Patrick participated in an exchange program with the University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts, where he studied daylighting, renewables, and passive heating and cooling with G.Z. Brown and John Reynolds.
