Project Manager
A project manager in Brightworks Sustainability’s Portland office, Rachel Gesik serves Brightworks clients throughout the United States.
In the Pacific Northwest, she is a member of Living Building Challenge, LEED and EarthAdvantage project teams for the National Park Service / Yellowstone National Park, Alexandria Real Estate, City of Eugene, Gerding Edlen Development, Kemper Development, and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). In other regions — including Boston, Chicago, Fort Worth, and New York — she is a member of project teams for Facebook, Google, Gucci, and Related.
Before Brightworks, Rachel served as a Program Associate at CLEAResult coordinating the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s Residential New Construction program, including Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes and NEEA’s Efficient Homes Pilot.
While pursuing a master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University, Rachel was a consultant to Build Smart NY, studying sustainable operations and maintenance (O&M) practices for the State of New York’s government buildings, in compliance with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order 88.
