    Yukari Kubo

    Materials Specialist

    Yukari Kubo is a Materials Specialist who works with clients to reduce their carbon and toxicological impacts related to the built environment. Yukari has more than nine years of experience in architecture across a broad selection of project types, including for public, private, and institutional clients. Her project experience from previous firms includes work for Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Washington, Oregon State University, the U.S. Department of State, and the Port of Portland, as well as multi-family apartments, data centers, and net zero energy projects.  

    As a specialist in materials and embodied carbon, Yukari reviews materials for their safety and environmental impact. She brings her clients visibility into the impacts of their building materials and clarity about their selection options. She is experienced in the use of a variety of tools and resources to provide dependable results in embodied carbon analysis.  

    As an experienced Project Manager, Yukari excels at communication. She works with clients to uncover their specific sustainability goals, identifies strategies to achieve them, and consistently delivers successful project outcomes. She has worked with clients such as the City of Portland to navigate complex design processes that required coordination amongst multiple stakeholders yet took care to complete them on time and within budget.
