To help the City of Portland prepare for the LEED rating system to transition from version 3 to 4, Brightworks trained City staff on new LEED v4 standards to inform potential city policy updates, new building design and future budgeting needs .

LEED v4 for Contractors

With LEED v4 developments under management for Caltech, Gerding Edlen, and California Lutheran University, Brightworks was well-positioned to train Skanska staff in the implications for contractors of the new rating system, launching June of 2015.

Existing Buildings Education Program

Los Angeles operates over 900 buildings. Before conducting a LEED EB:O&M feasibility assessment of its portfolio, the city retained Brightworks to deliver a training program for city facilities staff, helping them understand the LEED EB:O&M program.
