Tishman Speyer’s ambitious Brannan Square will bring three cutting edge mixed-use office buildings to San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood. 4.5 acres in total, the buildings will host over one million square feet of Class A office space, and the entire development will host a new one-acre public park with offerings for all ages including playgrounds, childcare facilities, a farmers’ market and a rich network of sidewalks and bike paths. The buildings are mindful of where they will sit on high-water flood lines and will ensure resilience via green roofing and below-grade stormwater storage.

Scope 3 GHG Employee Commuting Study

Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry (LPOE)

The US-Mexico border crossing at Otay Mesa is the busiest commercial port in California, processing billions of dollars in imports and exports each year. Otay Mesa also processes over 3.5 million pedestrians and 7.6 million vehicles annually. The re-build of the border crossing seeks to improve the security of existing facility infrastructure, enhance support of cross-border traffic, reduce wait-times, and improve air quality. Brightworks is managing the LEED certification, a SITES program, and providing energy services to support GSA’s net zero energy goals.

The San Luis LPOE received $100M from the Biden Administration’s Investing in America program, the largest grant for in-progress projects, which will make San Luis first land port of entry to achieve net-zero by balancing carbon emissions through innovative climate-resilient technologies, an all-electric design, and photovoltaics, and batteries.
